Frequently asked questions

What is a good session frequency?

Ultimately, the frequency needs to work for you. Most people find that meeting once a week or every other week creates a supportive rhythm. Two sessions per week can be helpful for faster progress or during particular life phases.

For steady access and a sense of inner continuity, I recommend scheduling sessions on an ongoing basis — or booking a bundle of 4–8 sessions in advance. This commitment is to yourself; it isn’t legally binding. Please just let me know if you plan to pause for more than three weeks or to bring our work to completion.

How fast can I experience results?

You can expect changes and insights during and after each session.

The overall coaching process unfolds in phases — sometimes with rapid shifts in perception, emotion, or thought patterns in the first sessions, followed by more substantial, embodied, and developmental changes over time.

Major life transitions or sustained growth may benefit from continuous sessions. Many clients find it most supportive to continue coaching for six to twelve sessions, or as an ongoing process.

Can I voice irritations, critiques or requests?

Whenever something in our interaction or communication feels off or brings up irritation, I encourage you to name it as soon as possible so we can explore it together.

Our sessions are a space for honest and respectful exchange, and bringing awareness to such moments often deepens and supports the work itself.

Please feel free to ask meta-, content-, or clarification questions, and to share critiques or requests for change at any time. Your curiosity, knowledge and doubts are appreciated as essential parts of this work.

Confidentiality - Will anybody know that I’m taking sessions with you?

Unless explicitly agreed otherwise, both the content of our work and the fact that we are working together remain confidential — including toward anyone who may have recommended you or who might be involved in related or joint work (e.g., couple sessions). If preferred, you are also welcome to participate using a pseudonym.

You, of course, are free to share your experience with whomever you choose.

How can I get the most out of our session?

Preparation and intention

Before a session, it can be helpful to take a moment to connect with what you wish for yourself from our time together. This is not a prerequisite — life doesn’t always allow for it — but it can support clearer priorities and a smoother start. It’s by no means required, and you shouldn’t feel any pressure to do it.

During the session

Bring what truly matters to you — what feels alive, important, or challenging – and allow yourself to find out what that means or how it feels. Follow your curiosity and aliveness. Notice and name when you feel stuck or numb. There’s nothing specific you need to do — I’ll guide and support the process with you.

Integration support

If possible, create some space after each session to take it easy — rest, reflect, or simply let things settle. This helps your system consolidate and integrate what has emerged. Taking a few moments to reflect within 24 hours usually supports deeper recall and integration of the experience.

Can we work across different time zones? How fast can I get an appointment?

Working across different time zones is possible as long as there’s some flexibility.

I’m based in Berlin (CET/CEST). For clients in North or South America, I’m generally available from morning to noon (your time), while people in Asia or Australia can usually book evening sessions (your time).

If you have difficulty finding suitable time slots, please let me know and I’ll do my best to reserve them for you.

If requested, I can usually offer appointments at short notice. I’m also available on Saturdays by personal arrangement for an additional 50 €.

Why is there no fixed price?

I use a sliding scale so that higher contributions from those with medium to higher incomes can make lower rates accessible to others. The scale is self-assessed, because everyone’s situation is unique — I trust you to choose what feels fair. If you’re unsure, just reach out and we can figure it out together. If the range doesn’t work for you, please let me know and we’ll find a solution. I offer discounts, especially for Effective Altruists in order to support their work and to account for transitional situations or lower vages in some non-profit jobs. Please let me know latest by the third session what you’d like to pay for past and upcoming sessions.

Payment & deductible invoices

Payments can be made without fees in USD (via Wise or ACH) and EUR (via Wise or SEPA/bank transfer). In some cases, coaching may be deductible as a professional expense. I recommend checking with your tax advisor for confirmation.

How flexible can I cancel sessions?

Unless otherwise agreed or communicated short-term:

  • Cancellations within 48 hours are charged at 50% of the session fee.

  • Cancellations within 24 hours are charged at 80% of the session fee.

  • Cancellations within 4 hours are charged in full (100%).

Do video sessions provide the same value as in person sessions?

While the experience is not identical, video sessions can sometimes provide even greater value per effort — they offer more flexibility in time and location, allow for additional preparation and integration before and after each session, and can even create an increased sense of safety, connection, or efficiency.

I encourage you to try it out!

For the best experience, please ensure good video quality (Full HD / 1080p camera), clear audio (external microphone, webcam, or ear/headphones), and a stable internet connection.
